From the smallest to the largest, each donation leaves its mark. There are several ways you can make a donation, depending on your philanthropic objectives, your interests and your values.
Individual or corporate donations
You can make your donation by credit card, bank transfer or cheque. An income tax receipt will be issued for all donations of $10 or more.
Planning a donation is a way of including charitable donations in your financial, fiscal and estate planning, while benefitting from the fiscal and financial benefits to which you and your successors are entitled.
The various forms of planned donations:
- Through your will: cash, securities, property, a percentage of your estate or a residual bequest
- Life insurance policy

There are tax incentives to promote donations for culture.
The Government of Québec has decided to grant an additional tax credit of 25% of the portion that does not exceed $25,000 for a first donation of at least $25,000 to culture. It has also established an income tax credit at the rate of 30% for larger donors who donate $250,000 or more to cultural organizations in a given year and who make a commitment to donate the same amount over a period of at least 10 years.
